Mithai — Premium Indian Sweets E-Commerce

A premium e-commerce platform connecting customers with legendary Indian mithai artisans — enabling discovery, ordering, and doorstep delivery of authentic regional sweets.

What needed solving

India's legendary regional mithai — Kolkata's Sandesh, Mathura's Peda, Jaipur's Ghewar — is made by master artisans whose craft spans generations. Yet these artisans have no digital presence, and urban customers have no way to discover or order authentic regional sweets beyond supermarket brands that sacrifice quality for shelf life.

How I solved it

Built a full-stack premium e-commerce platform on a Medusa.js v2 backend with a Next.js 14 storefront — connecting customers directly with verified mithai artisans across India. Regional discovery pages, rich artisan profiles, and premium product pages bring the craft and story behind each sweet to life, while a smart cart and gift box system drives conversion for both individual and corporate gifting.
